Asked for a few words for Evening Press readers he snapped: "I'm not doing anything."
He also dodged questions from other reporters as he made his way to a private box in a top hat and smart morning suit.
This was the Real Madrid striker's second day of racing at York.
And he got grumpy with a photographer snapping him.
WORLD Cup legend Geoff Hurst told the Evening Press he was gearing up for a great day at Royal Ascot.
The 1966 hat-trick hero was spotted as he tried to find his place at York Racecourse for Ladies Day.
The former West Ham United striker said: "I'm really looking forward to Ascot at York.
"I'm just hoping it doesn't rain and the weather picks up a bit."
