Heworth ARLC under-16s have enjoyed one of their most successful seasons to date.
Under coaches Dave Edgar and Bob Pearce, the young Villagers were runners-up in the Yorkshire Youth League division two, finalists in the top four play-offs and had a fine cup run, beating two first division sides and one from the premier division before losing in the semi-final.
York City Knights star Peter Fox handed out the awards at their presentation night.
The clubman of the year was Callum Sullivan, the player of the year was Sam Blaney, the players' player was Richard Rogers and the most improved player was Liam Walton.
Training for next season starts on Monday, 6.45pm at Heworth's Elmpark Way ground. Old and new players are welcome.
