HPH York Vale Cricket League division one pace-setters Bishopthorpe took the honours over Wheldrake.
Batting first, Bishopthorpe had Danny Williams (91no) in sparkling form. Graham Davies (63) gave support as their team rattled up 212-2.
Wheldrake answered positively with James McQuarrie leading the way with 45no. However, runs were checked by Ian Holmes (3-38) and Paul Mizon (3-28) as the reply fizzled to 169-7.
Norwich Union's season of woe continued against Burn. Joe Griffin hit 38 in a total of 120 all out, Queenan and Trevasskiss sharing six wickets. David Johnson (3-43) and Simon Cook (3-11) tried manfully for Union, but Burn sealed a three-wicket win.
Division two centurion Martin Reynolds ended up on the losing side against Thixendale. His unbeaten 119 graced his Ben Johnson team's 171-9. But Mike Walker (60) and Graham Lyndsay (40) excelled to take Thixendale to 172-6.
John Hughes celebrated in style for Copmanthorpe. He took 3-25 to leave York on 153-7 and then hit 74no to see Copmanthorpe home by six wickets.
Fulfordgate hit 157-7 against Stockton and Hopgrove, Mick Nelson top-scoring with 33. Despite Rich Kerrison's best efforts with 50, Simon Anderson (4-35) and Steve Bygott (3-36) bowled them out for 103.
It was a repeat of last year's Scothern Cup final, Thorpe Willoughby batted first in their division three game and scored 135, Acomb's Mike Walsh grabbing 5-29. Dave Watson bagged 4-19 as Acomb's reply slumped to 122 all out.
Malton and Old Malton were lost for words against Bishopthorpe. Television football commantator Guy Mowbray took 4-35 as Malton perished for 139. Matt Collins hit 47 to guide the Bishops home by three wickets.
In division four, Askham Bryan YPO were in trouble at 97 all out against Woodhouse Grange, despite 46 from Mark Grewer. Andy Kenny returned 4-8. Woodhouse were sailing along at 41-0 before Grewer took 7-20 to leave Grange all out for 74.
Thorpe Willoughby hit 159-7 against Tadcaster Magnet in division five. Kevin Rich hit 55 and Andy McAvoy 47 for Thorpe but upon their demise a collapse ensued. Tadcaster were helped along to victory by 36 extras. Richie Bowker did his bit for Thorpe with six wickets, but a stubborn Tadcaster held out for the win by two wickets.
Despite 50 from Rob Moore, Malton and Old Malton could only manage 137-8 which Selby knocked off with seven wickets in hand thanks to Jeff Knight's sparkling unbeaten 79.
