EASTHOLME Drive post office, like many others, has closed and the Post Office say they are looking for other local premises, without results.
However long it takes they, or any of our public servants, have not announced arrangements to help those who are finding it impossible, or difficult, to receive their essential benefits.
No doubt they will all bend over backwards to avoid responsibility but something needs to be done because it is through no fault of theirs that these people are suffering.
An increasing number of areas are experiencing the same problems, many out in the country, and travelling post offices, such as libraries, would be an idea for the future.
The present problem is either to get them to where their money is available, which the Post Office has in trust, or to get their money to them at home, when it is due.
Surely, this is not difficult.
Supermarkets do it with the goods which their money, when they get it, is exchanged for.
