THE final events line-up has been unveiled for this year's Eboracum Roman Festival in York this weekend.
In addition to the breath-taking military displays and street processions, a range of other events will be staged at a host of venues around the city.
When the legions have done roaming the streets they will take time out in Dean's Park, beside York Minster, where there will be a living history camp.
This will include cooking demonstrations, a potter who will show how the Romans made their pots and lots of soldiers on hand to answer questions.
There will also be two displays each day on the battle and drill tactics of Roman soldiers.
Visitors will see aspects of Roman life, civil and military, and Roman medical equipment.
A range of talks and theatrical events will also be put on at the Hospitium in Museum Gardens.
In addition, the York Shakespeare Project will be on hand to read sequences from Shakespeare's plays and poems entitled Shakespeare's Rome - An Imperial Mirror For England, featuring excerpts from Julius Caesar, Coriolanus, Antony And Cleopatra, Titus Andronicus and The Rape Of Lucrece.
Throughout both days there will also be a special showing of extracts from the BBC2 series Battle For Britain's Soul filmed at last year's festival.
