YOU would think that one of the few green spaces we have around here for people to enjoy would be sacred, but you would be wrong.
There are several bowling greens in Clarence Gardens off Wigginton Road and the bowlers want to use the remaining grassy area as a car park.
This is meant to be for only one week during their annual tournament but permanent access for cars into the park is to be created by the council.
Once this is in place who knows who else will want to "park in the park"?
If public money is to be used would it not be more economic and environmentally friendly for the council to help the bowlers use one of the two existing car parks nearby, one of which is just outside Clarence Gardens?
