New Earswick's new signing, David Hey, had an impressive debut as he shared the spoils in a close division six derby with Rowntrees.
He joined John Routledge (5-77) in the leading factory bowlers standings, by taking 3-38 in ten overs and hit an unbeaten 39 as his side won by three wickets.
Fourth-placed Stillington lost ground after a high-scoring draw at Sessay, where the home side posted 230-5.
In reply, Stillington still got maximum batting points but finished 30 runs short despite James Hartley finishing unbeaten on 98, and Denis North, who scored 64.
