DUSTERS and mops come into their own in a performance of contemporary dance about housework.
Spotless will be performed by four York dancers at the city's Castle Museum on Monday, at 4.30pm.
It is a quirky contemporary dance piece which celebrates the choreography of cleaning, exploring its twists, turns, sweeps and swivels as part of York Dance Week.
Inspired by advertisements for cleaning products and appliances in women's magazines from the 1950s, Spotless takes a humorous look at housework.
Sam Lawrence, one of the dancers, said: "The dance piece incorporates a variety of contemporary dance styles and 1,001 things you can do with a duster."
It was choreographed and will be performed by Sam, as well as Becci Starkie, Ellen Snarr, and Jess Scantlebury who are all York St John dance students.
