IN response to your report about York's lavatories ('Loo-dicrous', May 27), I say it is time the seat of the problem was flushed out.
The gentlemen of York must not stall, stand up and face it, the ladies must not take it sitting down either. This is no time to be papering over the cracks so get to the bottom of it and don't turn the other cheek.
Engage the chain of blame for the vacant cleaners, bowl them over without minding the Ps and Qs.
Imaginative art and literature provide no relief for the "toiler", I doubt if three young ladies would even consider the chance of incarceration under these conditions and where would the rugby choristers have been then?
