POCKLINGTON RUFC mini rugby section's awards day proved a big hit.

Several of the Pock junior sides had successful seasons with the main Under-sevens winning 22 and drawing one of their 25 games, with three players scoring more than 50 tries.

The U8s finished third in the Morley, East Yorkshire and York tournaments, and were runners-up at Driffield on the last day of the season.

U9s try-machine William Rhodes ran in a staggering 113 tries and was named their player of the season.

The U10s won the plate at the Driffield and Darlington tournaments.

They also enjoyed another high spot when they beat Bradford & Bingley in front of 7,000 spectators in a half-time game at Leeds Tykes.
