SIX supermarket trolleys will be joining the line-up alongside 106 performers during a lively concert this weekend, celebrating the show director's 40 years in the industry.
Bev Jones, the doyen of York's musical producers, is the driving force behind I Got The Music In Me which takes to the stage at the Grand Opera House tomorrow.
It brings together performers from York Light Opera Company, Leeds Musical Theatre Company, Harrogate Operatic Players and Tadcaster Operatic Society.
The late John Potts' comic piece, The Trolley Song, features in Bev's list of favourite songs. The show will also includepieces from Les Miserables, a Bob Fosse dance spectacular, songs from The Lion King and Neil Sedaka hits.
Bev, who will also be showing off his vocals, will be joined on stage by his wife Lesley, and three sons Jay Marcus, Dom and Dan. Written and directed by Bev Jones, I Got The Music In Me is at the Grand Opera House, York, on Sunday at 5pm and 8pm. Tickets, which are £5 to £15, will be available at the box office.
