IN response to Mr Shillito's letter (May 24), he omitted to refer to the interminable noise from the motorbikes which frequent the Clifton Backies on an almost daily basis.
One cannot sit in the garden in peace because of the horrendous noise they make.
When you complain to the police all they say is that it is private land and the responsibility of the owners, City of York Council.
I thought such a "species" was banned from this nature reserve.
Who is responsible for upholding the law, and how do we get freedom and the right to sit and enjoy peace and quiet?
