Presumably your leader comment 'Lure of York' (May 31) was a failed attempt at humour. If York is 'a great place to live' it certainly doesn't need such smugly satisfied prose to endorse it.
As a Londoner I take exception to being described as "grumpier than anyone else".
However, I appreciate that the article was written from a position of blinkered ignorance - which I'm sure is not shared by the people of York.
Far from welcoming new business initiatives to the city your leader writer's parochial narrow mindedness would be enough to scare anyone off - wherever they are coming from.
