The letter "War on drugs is war on our people" (June 1) prompts me to say: prohibition of cannabis is the best thing that has happened in Britain, because who wants people driving cars while doped up?
Can you imagine the accidents?
The problem of crime caused by drugs is a major one in our society, and one we don't want our children to grow up in.
All drug-use must be controlled and, because cannabis is a "drug", it must too.
So I say prohibition is not a lie, it's a matter of keeping an anarchy- free democratic society.
Can't Steve Clements of the Legalise Cannabis Alliance understand the problems drugs such as cannabis cause?
