THOUSANDS of people from York and surrounding areas will be holidaying in Spain this summer enjoying the sunshine and local customs.
Many Spanish people are distressed by the national sport of bull-fighting, but this reprehensible spectacle continues because so many tourists go and witness it, so the sponsors find if financially worthwhile.
I suggest those of us who think it is wrong to torture and kill animals for sport should boycott bull-fights.
Holidays are for worthwhile pursuits and refreshment, not indulging in cruelty.
