I and many of my neighbours have very little garden waste apart from grass cuttings and a few weeds.
Many have had their gardens paved or gravelled as they found it increasingly difficult to manage.
Most people certainly do not have enough to warrant a separate bin.
On the matter of smell I take issue with councillor Waller. My kitchen waste is already wrapped in plastic bags before it goes in the bin as, I suspect, is most people's, and can assure him that in warm weather the bin still smells.
So many of us pay for a firm to power clean and disinfect the bins every three weeks or so immediately after collection.
Because the collection teams' routine involves many different areas, what happens if they come to us on the week the bin is still full?
If the council wants people to compost kitchen and garden waste then why not simply give us compost bins instead of making us pay for them.
It would be preferable to having to find storage room for yet another wheelie bin cluttering up the garden.
