This is the first chapter in the latest booklet published by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, in justification of its proposals for Osbaldwick.
In the light of this, is it not time for the foundation and the city council to come clean and admit the only reason for "Derwenthorpe" is to serve the housing needs of the people moving into the area to fill the vacancies at the university?
