YORKSHIRE fast bowler John Blain, still awaiting his first senior appearance of the season, was included in Yorkshire's squad of 13 for today's totesport League game against Scottish Saltires at Headingley.
If Blain plays he will come up against his old friend Gavin Hamilton, who is on loan to Saltires from Durham for the next six totesport League matches.
Both Blain and Hamilton can look forward to some busier few weeks ahead of them because Scotland are expected to announce officially tomorrow that the pair are in their squad for the ICC Trophy which will be played in Ireland from July 1-13.
Yorkshire have released Blain, for the competition which will see five of the teams qualify for the 2007 World Cup in the West Indies, but they are not prepared to let him play for Scotland in the totesport League in which Scotland dramatically beat Warwickshire by one wicket yesterday.
Yorkshire Phoenix from: Wood, Jaques, McGrath, Lumb, White, Harvey, Pyrah, Dawood, Dawson, Bresnan, Silverwood, Blain, Kruis.
Scottish Saltires from: Wright, Arafat, Beukes, English, Hamilton, Haq, Hoffmann, Lockhart, Nel, Smith, Watson, Watts, Williamson.
