Wyatt Earp is napped to gun down his rivals at Catterick tomorrow on a day when Yorkshire racegoers are facing another double-header of Flat action.

Continuing Britain's trend of having wall-to-wall racing from May until August, Catterick's afternoon meeting precedes an evening fixture at Pontefract. Only 75 minutes separate the end of one meeting and the start of the other.

Wyatt Earp, trained by Richard Fahey, goes for the Sarah Lunn Memorial Handicap, a race named in memory of the secretary at David Nicholls' Sessay yard, who was killed in a road accident a couple of years ago.

Previously trained by James Toller, Wyatt Earp was beaten only a neck in an apprentices' race over five furlongs at Haydock last Saturday, caught in the dying strides.

Tomorrow's step-up to six furlongs will suit him better and with Paul Hanagan, Fahey's stable-jockey, taking over the reins, Wyatt Earp is fancied to go one better.

Shrink will likewise be hard to catch in the Lionweld Kennedy Sprint Handicap over five furlongs.

A recent recruit to Micheal Dods' Darlington yard, having previously been trained at Newmarket by Michael Bell, Shrink is in-foal to Vettori and, like many mums-to-be, has found a rich vein of form since her pregnancy was confirmed.

A winner at Newcastle last week, Shrink followed-up at Thirsk on Monday night under a 6lb penalty, which she will carry again tomorrow. Philip Makin again has the mount and can complete a hat-trick on this in-form performer.

Pontefract's main race is the £15,000 Griff Ltd Supporting Chancy Stakes over six furlongs.

Upper Hand looked good when winning at Yarmouth earlier this month on his debut. Although he needed every yard of the six furlongs, Mick Channon's colt won by a length and a quarter from The Snatcher, who won at Ripon on Monday. Upper Hand, open to further improvement, can follow-up tomorrow.
