WHILE I fully support the need to recycle, I feel City of York Council does not appreciate the position regarding green waste.
They need to give more consideration to the plan of emptying our waste bins every two weeks.
The domestic bin will need to be far larger than the present ones issued.
Green waste collections are commendable and very necessary.
But how will the council employ its staff on the green collection days in the weeks during the months of November to March, when very little green waste will be put out for collection?
No doubt, these staff could be available to collect and remove all the domestic rubbish fly-tipped around our country lanes from the overflowing domestic bins.
