CANON Lee School make all the right moves when it comes to chess.
Their Under 14s have just won the York and District Schools' Chess Championship for the fourth time in six years.
The school, started encouraging chess in 2000 and since then have won 11 trophies - including the U18s title three times and the York Schools title three times in the last four years.
One-hundred and fifty players took part in three age groups at the tournament at Ebor School.
Ampleforth College finished second to Canon Lee in the U14s. Dringhouses Primary School won the Under 9 and Under 11 sections.
