WHEN will the Highways Agency bite the bullet and dual the A64 the whole way from York to Scarborough?
The prevarication of that body down many years has cost North Yorkshire millions in wasted time, pollution and opportunities. The £2.5 million now being spent on the road is mostly what would normally be spent for wear and tear with a few improvements thrown in.
Thousands of pounds have been spent on feasibility studies over the years and all of them are now resting on dusty shelves. When will anybody take our part of Yorkshire seriously?
