HUNDREDS of parents, young people and volunteers gathered at the Yorkshire Museum for the awards ceremony for the recent North Yorkshire Youth Games.
The games are held each year with teams from each district council area in North Yorkshire competing in a whole range of sports. This year they battled through wind and rain at Ampleforth College.
The success of these games depends on the volunteers who coach the youngsters, Council staff who organise the games, the parents who support their children and the young people themselves, York can certainly be proud of them all as York won six of the events.
Not all young people are involved in anti-social behaviour.
