A stunning 121, 180, 100 for 13 darts from Chris Thompson didn't prevent Shepherd 'A's Paul Botterill clinching the last game win. Heath Scaife (180 for 20 and 21), then Mick Willsden (2x21), had set Shepherds on their way. The match featured 56 ton-plus scores.
Cygnet 'A' came back from 3-0 down at Huntington WMC to level with Pete Leake notching a maximum and Dave Mason gaming in 18. Phil Good wrapped up Huntington's first win of the season with 19 and 20 darts after partnering Phil Chapman (180) in a 23-dart pairs leg.
Newcomers Wenlock Arms were 2-1 up after an Andy Fleet maximum, but Ebor took all the singles with Tony Raymond outstanding with 180 for 23 and 177 for 20.
Paul Myerscough (180) shone for division two leaders Flag 'A' who were prevented from recording a clean sweep by Independent's Jean Smallwood.
Britannia's climb was boosted by Steve Snowdon (22 and 23) and Mike Harrison (23) for an 8-1 win against Falcon.
Mount top division three after an 8-1 win against Sun Inn, who had a 21-darter from Matthew Kitchen.
Clair Cooper closing on 118 and a 20-darter from Carol Perrett were the highlights as Slip 'B' beat Cygnet 'C' in York John Smith's Ladies League division one.
Clifton 'B's Julie Maycock inspired her side to a 6-3 win at Leeman 'B'.
In division two, Shepherd 'A' were taken to the wire by Burnholme before Maggie Beddingham-Denise Fowler took the decider.
Slipper's Ann Parkyn closed 86 in the deciding pairs with Anita Adams after Woolpack let a 4-2 advantage slip.
Cygnet 'A' have withdrawn from the league and their position has been taken by Wenlock Arms, Wheldrake. Signing on sheets should be with the secretary otherwise points will be withheld.
