Paul Hanagan, who rode a double at Beverley yesterday, can carry on his winning streak at Ripon tomorrow night.
The Malton jockey has been booked by Newmarket trainer Ed Dunlop to partner Apex in the £14,000 Cocked Hat Farm Foods Handicap and looks to have an excellent chance of winning this one mile contest.
Apex made an encouraging start to his campaign at Yarmouth earlier this month, staying on well in the closing stages to finish a half-length second to Gone'N Dunnett.
That race was over six furlongs and the extra distance tomorrow will suit Apex much better. He looks sure to make a bold bid.
Hanagan should also enjoy a good ride on Grigorovitch in the betrescue.com Handicap.
Trained at Lambourn by Barry Hills, the three-year-old finished a creditable to Abientot at Windsor recently over five furlongs. Tomorrow's six furlongs should suit him better.
In the Ripon Farm Services Handicap, Princess Kiotto is napped to complete a quick double for trainer Tim Easterby, who, frustratingly, saddled four seconds yesterday.
Last week at Newcastle, Princess Kiotto scored a wide-margin win in the hands of David Allan, who takes the mount again tomorrow. A 6lb penalty may not be enough to anchor her in this two-miler.
With Thirsk last night, Wetherby on Wednesday evening and Pontefract on Friday night, tomorrow's Ripon programme is part of a sequence of night meetings in Yorkshire this week.
Jumping fans tomorrow can look towards the picturesque Lake District venue of Cartmel for their action, with Wellburn-based amateur rider Ben Woodhouse among those who will be taking part.
He rides Sir Alf, a recent point-to-point winner trained by Maria Myco near Sedgefield, in the RF Miller Hunters' Chase. The partnership should go well in this three and a quarter mile test.
Iverain, a winner a couple of weeks ago at Aintree, has good prospects in the Albert O'Connor's 80th Birthday Handicap Chase.
Richard McGrath's mountgained a hard-earned success on his recent comeback outing and, provided he is none the worse for those exertions, he could well complete a quick double.
