A PENSIONER who feared losing his political voice at the election was celebrating today.
City of York Council told Joseph French he could not vote after they said he never registered his change of address when he moved to the city from Leeds.
Mr French, 73, who has voted in every election since the 1950s, maintained he had filled in the correct forms.
Now the Fulford resident has discovered his voting information was sent to a house that does not exist on his street.
He thinks the council either wrote down or typed in the incorrect house number, but said: "I'm delighted that my voting record can continue."
