HARRY Hogarth, who trains near Stillington, has his horses in good form and can make his presence felt at Southwell tomorrow.

Tina's Scallywag represents him in the opening Experience Nottinghamshire Handicap Chase and is fancied to supplement her recent success at Hexham.

On that occasion, Tina's Scallywag made full use of her proven stamina, forcing the pace over an extended three miles before striking the front six fences from home and staying on dourly to beat Another Club Royal.

A 16-1 shot last time, Tina's Scallywag is unlikely to be priced so generously tomorrow. A follow-up, though, could well be on the cards. Malton jockey David O'Meara, Hogarth's regular rider, will be in the saddle.

Steve Gollings, who sent out his first-ever treble at Market Rasen last Sunday, can add to his tally of winners, courtesy of Vigoureux in the Pantry Handicap Chase.

The six-year-old shaped well on his debut over fences at Uttoxeter at the end of April when finishing second to Itsuptoharry. So long as his relative inexperience does not count against him, he should make a bold bid tomorrow to go one better.

Also of note is Waydale Hill, trained at Sheriff Hutton by Tim Walford, in the Enjoy Hospitality At Southwell Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle.

The six-year-old was far from disgraced when fourth to Vicentio at Warwick last time.

On the Flat at Brighton, Campeon is napped to turn the tables on Canadian Danehill in the totesport.com Handicap over five-and-a-half furlongs.

Milton Bradley's sprinter got going a fraction too late over this course-and-distance last week and, despite finishing fast, failed by three-quarters of a length to catch Canadian Danehill. Campeon meets the winner on slightly better terms tomorrow and can take his revenge.

Warlingham gets the vote in the totequadpot Selling Stakes.

Paul Howling's charge is nothing if not at home on this course, having already won here three times. In a modest contest, he can make it four.

While tomorrow's racing in Britain represents poor fare, all eyes will be on the Irish menu at The Curragh, not least the Boylesports Irish 1,000 Guineas.

Twelve months ago, the Mark Johnston-trained Attraction took the honours under Kevin Darley. This time, I fancy Damson, a top-notch juvenile last season, will do the business for Irish trainer David Wachman and jockey Jamie Spencer and, in the process lower the colours of Aidan O'Brien's Virginia Waters, the mount of Kieren Fallon, who won the English 1,000, but may have been flattered after the leaders went off too fast.
