A 50-STRONG party from Pocklington RUFC are in the Barcelona region where they face RC Sitges today and Sant Cugat tomorrow.
Pock warmed up for their tour by winning the York University Secretary's Cup Seven-a-side competition.
Pocklington had to come from behind to beat York University 1sts 15-12 in their first game, and when the two sides met again in the final later in the day Pocklington again won a well contested game 24-12. Evergreen threequarter, Kevin Bowling, led the way in the final with two solo scores and was voted 'Player of the Tournament'.
In between Pocklington played some free-flowing rugby to chalk up further victories over touring side Crowborough, 38-5, York & Hull Medical School, 33-5, and York University 2nds, 35-19.
