Notability can provide the Newmarket combination of trainer Michael Jarvis and jockey Philip Robinson with another sizeable payday at Haydock tomorrow.

The three-year-old goes for the £95,000 totesport Silver Bowl and can triumph for those connected with him, who have struck it rich recently thanks to Rakti in last week's Lockinge Stakes, Anak Pekan in the Chester Cup and Iffraaj in the Victoria Cup.

Notability made his contribution to the stable's coffers with a workmanlike success in a decent handicap race at Chester, beating Mostashaar by a length-and-a-quarter.

Although the runner-up got a poor run that day, there was much to like about Notability's display and the professional way he went about his job. Open to further improvement, he can win this jackpot prize.

The Nap vote goes to the Richard Fahey-trained Wyatt Earp, who ran a race full of promise at Beverley on his recent reappearance and who now bids to step-up on that unplaced effort in the George Duffield Apprentice Handicap. Nicky Lawes, who is attached to Fahey's Malton yard, has the mount.

At Catterick, the £20,000 totequadpot Handicap over seven furlongs takes pride of place and Great Habton trainer Tim Easterby, who had two winners at Newcastle yesterday and anaother at Kelso last night, could hold the key with Tough Love.

Well weighted after a largely disappointing time last season, Tough Love gave notice that his winning turn was near when finishing a close-up fourth at Redcar earlier in the week. A reproduction of that form would enable him to go very close here.

Norton trainer Tim FitzGerald, who has his mixed string in good order, has good prospects with Value Plus (2.45), who was promising last season, and Inchnadamph (3.55), who paid his way last year.

Channel4, who will be covering three races from Haydock, will also be televising the first four from Newmarket, where Aragorn looks an interesting runner in the Cheveley Park Stud King Charles ll Stakes.

David Loder's three-year-old spreadeagled his rivals in a maiden race at Doncaster last month, after which he was spoken of in glowing terms by those connected with him, who consider him to be good enough to tackle one of the Group races at Royal Ascot-at-York next month.
