THE York contingent of the cannabis education march and rally recently enjoyed a fabulous day basking in the sunshine with thousands of others in Trafalgar Square as speakers from all walks of life, including human rights lawyers, medical researchers and representatives from most political parties, condemned the Government's continued "war on drugs".
The overwhelming support given in London for the legalisation of cannabis movement can not be ignored for much longer. The shame of the Government's disastrous war on its own people is gradually being exposed.
Funding of political parties by the breweries and pharmaceutical companies is allowing corrupt and damaging policies to continue unabated.
The fact that millions of people the length and breadth of the country are willing to continue breaking this most discriminatory law, and openly smoked cannabis in the centre of our capital, shows the contempt in which they hold our political leaders.
Meanwhile, the disgusting drug pushers of alcohol continue to reap havoc on our streets every day.
