The Selby-based ace won a peg-to-peg battle to take the contest with a level 23lb. Drawn on peg 29, he targeted the far-side island with pellets for a mixed net of small carp and tench.
On peg 28 John Wharton (Cygnet) used similar tactics but fell just short with his net of 18lb 8oz.

Stan Jeffries took second from peg 12 where he found a mixed bag of carp, tench and skimmers on
pole and pellet scaling 55lb.

Danny Scott won the Raker Lakes open for the second successive week from peg one on Horseshoe Lake.
Fishing a floating pole with pellets tight to the far-bank cover, he netted a fine 89lb 10oz of carp to 3lb.
Another rising star, Oliver Hewitt, took second from peg 30 where he took 62lb 10oz of small carp on pellet at 13 metres.

The spoils for the Sunday open at Oak Tree Leisure, Huby, went North as Keith Fenwick from Newcastle took the honours from peg 25 on Pond Four.
Alternating caster and corn at 12 metres, he found carp to 3lb for a winning net of 45lb 12oz.
