WORKERS in York will soon be saying "Hola" to a feast of new knowledge.
Angela Buddo, who works for York rail firm GNER, donned Spanish costume as part of the celebrations for next week's National Adult Learners' Week.
Throughout the week York College is running a series of taster courses at the Yorkshire Rail Academy at the National Railway Museum, exclusively for rail workers.
They will get the chance to enroll on short courses in a wide range of subjects, including Spanish, how to use the internet and email, understanding body language and also how to identify their own skills level. The courses will provide workers with an opportunity to learn something new, whether it be a new skill to enhance their job prospects or may be just to provide them with a new interest.
Mrs Buddo, a union learner representative, said she will definitely be signing up to learn Spanish. "I think I'll be leaving the outfit at home for the lessons, though."
All the bite-size courses are free.
