WELL done City of York Council for giving the go-ahead for the Germany Beck development without taking any notice of local residents and their concerns for the single access road, and the destruction of land with strong archaeological links.
As a resident of Fulford, I believe the council is not interested in Fulford. It comes down to the voting boundaries. Do we vote for an MP in York?
No, our MP represents Selby.
We pay our council tax to York, but for what? For the council to never listen to the residents and to ride roughshod over Fulford and its residents.
Beware all people travelling into the city along the A19 and A64. You think the jams are bad now but the A64 will become a crawler-lane and picnic area for the councillors to view their disasters.
Take note Liberal Democrat councillor for Fulford, your time is up. The residents will not forget your lack of fight, or interest, in this development.
