IT is great to see so many citizens taking an interest in the recycling process in the York area ('A wheelie big decision', May 13).
However, I remind everyone that the forecast of temperatures reaching more than 100 degrees - should it occur - will again lead to drought conditions and water shortages.
I recommend one of my grandmother's best water-saving tips. Don't throw out your bath water - use it on your vegetables. It may not be as nice as gravy, but every little helps.
