IS your newspaper seller top of the shops?

Do you buy your Evening Press from the same place day in day out come wind, rain or shine?

If you think your local outlet is the best news seller in York, plus North and East Yorkshire, now is your chance to let us in on the secret.

As part of local newspaper week, the Evening Press is looking to find the region's best news outlet - and we want you to provide the nominations.

You could highlight a newsagent, a supermarket, a petrol or train station booth - anywhere where the Evening Press is on sale.

Simply fill in the coupon on the page, tell us why your outlet is so special and send us your entries by May 30.

The People's Choice, chosen by a panel of judges, will win a two-night weekend break for two in a UK city, courtesy of Quartz Travel.

The winner could be anyone, from a newsagent in York city centre, to an off-licence in Pickering or a petrol station in Selby.

It could be because of their friendly service or their prompt delivery. Just tell us why they are your favourite and they could be the victor.

Local Newspaper Week, which runs from May 16 to May 22, aims to highlight the vital contribution regional papers play in the community.

It celebrates the role of local newspapers - their readers, their campaigns and the way they serve their local areas.

Jen Horsley, Evening Press promotions and publicity manager, said: "This is the ideal opportunity for all our readers to say a big thank-you to their news outlets.

"Maybe they go that extra mile to get your Evening Press to you, so why not let them know how good they are?"

Send the completed coupon to Marcia Travers, Circulation Department, Evening Press, 76-86 Walmgate, York, YO1 9YN.
