Runs flowed like vintage wine at Driffield in division one as York II made 230-7 with Andrew Kay (64), Jason English (52) and Tom Bartram (64) leading the way.
English, with 3-36 and Alex Boyle (4-76) then combined to reduce the home side to 117-7.
But solid contributions from Chris Chapman (35) and Mark Thompson (51) rejuvenated the innings. Chris Smith (33no) then eased towards the target but saw the ninth wicket disappear with 17 still needed.
He found an effective partner in Paul Dixon who helped Smith take the score to a winning 234-9 with the York team ruing the leakage of 48 extras.
Stamford Bridge are sitting proudly atop the division with a 19-point advantage after their star overseas man Lorenzo Ingram cracked 123 to set up a 133-run win at Whitkirk.
The West Indian appears to be in a class of his own in the division and his effort, combined with Pete Milner's 40 and Andy Milner's 36 saw Stamford to a massive 265-6.
In reply, Andy Peirson made 43 and Craig Shipton 29, but Brian Aconley took 4-25 in ten overs and the Leeds side subsided to 132 all out.
