A REJUVENATED product line-up, mixing many new models with some top selling favourites, has given Mitsubishi Motors UK a record first quarter sales result for 2005.
To celebrate, the Japanese marque's 144 dealers are offering customers a selection of springtime special offers. These limited-period only incentives provide discounts of up to £2,000 across some of the brand's vehicles.
The Colt, now established as a key contender on the supermini scene, is now offering a free sunroof across all three and five-door models. There is also a £1,000 discount on 1.1-litre Equippe and 1.3-litre Elegance five-door models. This brings the on-the-road price of the Equippe down to £8,999, and includes equipment such as air conditioning, CD player, electric windows, alloy wheels and anti-lock brakes. The more powerful 107bhp 1.5 Elegance with automated manual transmission gets a free sunroof and comes down in price for a limited period by £1,500 to £10,499.
With the option of direct injection diesel or V6 petrol power plus short or long wheelbases, Mitsubishi's Shogun is available until June 30 with a £2,000 saving on the long wheelbase Equippe models, and £1,500 off the short wheelbase Elegance; and for £24,999 customers can now have a seven-seat long wheelbase Equippe complete with a 3.2-litre direct injection diesel engine, stability and traction control, anti-lock braking, electric windows and mirrors, climate control, front and side airbags, alloy wheels, front fog lights plus keyless entry and alarm.
Mitsubishi's smaller 4x4s also get a sale price for the spring with £2,000 taken off all Shogun Pinin models including the entry-level 1.8 Pinin Equippe three-door, now priced £11,249 on the road. The new Outlander Sport SE, top of Mitsubishi's new crossover 4x4 range, gets a temporary reduced price tag of £16,749.
