A SERIES of high-profile events geared towards providing Yorkshire with an imaginative and robust blueprint for economic success over the next decade kicks off in York next week.
The first of five consultation events over 11 days to review the Regional Economic Strategy (RES) starts at the Royal Court Hotel, in York, on Monday.
Each session will beam in on areas crucial to the success of the region, including transport, business support, skills, renaissance and innovation.
Although a ten-year plan, Yorkshire Forward, the regional development agency, is required by government to review the strategy every three years to take account of ongoing change within the region.
The 2005 review was launched in February by Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott at the Shaping The Agenda event, in Huddersfield.
This month's events mark the second stage of the consultation process which will continue until October when the revised strategy is due to be handed to Government.
Anyone wanting to book a place should phone the Yorkshire Forward events team on 0113 2349211.
