A YEAR after Williams investment Management LLP opened its doors for business it has appointed Robert Ash as senior partner.
Mr Ash has now joined founding partners Duncan Williams and Denis Kaye. Duncan and Robert were partners at Cawood Smithie & Co until that firm was sold to Brown Shipley in 2000. Robert left Brown Shipley last year.
Mr Williams said: "I am delighted to be able to work again with Robert. He shares my philosophy for developing a firm with the highest standards of client care and a sensible charging structure designed to encourage long-term client relationships."
Mr Ash has more than 20 years experience as a stockbroker and started his working life with Kitcat & Aitken in London. While with Cawood Smithie & Co he opened a successful Northallerton office that he ran for several years.
Williams Investment Management specialises in strategic investment management services for those who want a very personal service.
By keeping closely to its core business it avoids some of the conflicts of interest that can affect the larger broking firms.
Mr Ash said: "I am very excited at the prospect of working with clients after my 12 month period of gardening leave.
"I look forward to welcoming both old and new faces to Williams Investment Management."
