A GROUP of York City Baths Club swimmers produced some fine swims at the North Eastern County Senior/Junior Championships.
Nick Boaz swam superbly in the semi-finals to claim a place in a top class field final of the 100 metres breaststroke in a pb time, going on to finish eighth in the final.
He also made the semi-final of the 50m breaststroke in another pb time.
Michelle Moffat set a pb and National Qualifying time in the 400m freestyle and a pb in the 800m freestyle in which she just missed out on another qualifying time.
Others who made semi-finals were: Andrew Fowler, 50m and 100m breaststroke and 50m freestyle, all in pb times, the latter being 100th of a second off the Youth National Championships qualifying time; Alice Lawrenson, 50m and 100m breaststroke; Mairi Macdonald 100m breaststroke; and Hannah Waterfall, 50m backstroke. Macdonald also set a pb in the 200m breaststroke and 50m freestyle.
Other swimmers who set pbs were Lucy Recchia, Lauren Mason and Keiren Taylor.
