Heslington substitute Simon Gatenby was the hero after scoring the winner with the last kick of the game to secure the Leeper Hare York and District League Junior Cup just three days after taking the division two title.

Simon Musgrave put Heslington into the lead against Tadcaster Albion after 17 minutes, but a defensive error let in Richard Hare to equalise before half-time. A Mike Morton penalty three minutes into the second half put Albion ahead.

Heslington left their charge until the last 15 minutes but made it work as Peter Vince headed an 88th-minute equaliser before Gatenby snatched glory and the double.

The division two season ended after a flurry of fixtures, which included one player hitting the 100-goal mark.

Elvington hitman Luke Dove scored a hat-trick against Amotherby & Swinton with Ray Moulds getting the fourth from the spot in the 4-0 win, then Dove completed his ton over three years with one in the 3-2 defeat to Strensall.

Strensall's goals came from Mick Pipe, Chris Stansfield and Matt Brown, and Chris Bowles joined Dove on the Elvington sheet.

White Horse and Riccall met twice in five days and came away with a win each. John Williams scored the only one in White Horse's 1-0 victory. The reverse was won 2-1 by Riccall thanks to a Liam Brown double.

Amotherby's fourth game in a week ended 5-0 in Ouseburn's favour with Stuart Ramsey, Darren Horsfield, Matty Crowl, Andrew Kitchen and Richard Dwight on target.

Division three ended in a goal-fest. Huby hammered a weakened Bishop Wilton 14-1 led by Richard Huby (4).

Champions Sheriff Hutton hit 120 goals for the season in the 7-0 defeat of Moor Lane. Mathew Hartas and Dale Philips bagged a brace each with Mark Philips, Kev Butler and Billy Allen also scoring.
