A NORTH Yorkshire company has become one of the first in the UK to offer a national collection service for the recycling of waste electrical equipment.
The Electrical Recycling Company transports thousands of televisions and cathode ray tubes to its base at Hessay, near York, where they are manually disassembled, before being recycled into the industry.
