ALL Saints Under-19s came close to christening their new kit with a county cup triumph but finished a goal short against Harrogate-based Rossett School in a 4-3 loss.

Rossett opened the scoring but All Saints enjoyed a spell in the ascendancy before Rossett ran in a further two goals before half time.

But two goals in eight minutes showed the York side were up to the task as Jonathan Kew stroked one home from the penalty spot and Steven Gillick found the net from open play.

Rossett stretched the lead to 4-2 but All Saints refused to give in and Gillick scored again to engineer a frantic finale.
