A YORK dentist has won a prestigious national award.
Dr Andrea Ubhi, clinical director of Clock House Dental, in Heworth, was named "dentist of the year" at a ceremony in London.
The awards recognise those who have contributed significantly to the field of dentistry. The evening was hosted by The Probe dental magazine, and is recognised by the profession as an important accolade for the winners.
Dr Ubhi also owns a private cosmetic practice in Stonegate, where she treats clients, including celebrities.
She said: "I'm delighted. I really enjoy my work and to receive this award is a real honour."
