NEW Earswick ARLC chairman Charles Rollinson has saluted a "brilliant season" after the All Blacks sealed the Pennine League division two title.
The side, led by coaches Simon Baynes and Alan Pallister, needed at least draw in their last match at Queensbury 'A' to get promoted as champions rather than face a title play-off, but took both points in style with 52-0 triumph.
Rollinson said: "It's the icing on the cake. We set out to get promoted in our first season in this league and to go up as champions is just brilliant."
The All Blacks also memorably reached the fifth round of the GMB National Union Cup this year and face York Acorn - another successful York club having been promoted to National Conference division two for the first time in their history - in the York and District Cup final on May 21.
"The players have been outstanding," Rollinson added. "The commitment and team spirit on and off the pitch has seen us through.
"We've had a superb cup run, we've still got Acorn to play in the York and District final and we're already looking forward to next season."
Three-quarter Paul Dooley and second-row Jamie Rhodes both registered hat-tricks in the thrashing of Queensbury, while outstanding scrum-half Ben Jones got a brace.
Dooley opened the scoring from a Rowan Wallace-Hills pass and got his second after Chris Judge broke from a scrum. Carl Pallister then crossed before Jones sent Rhodes in for his first.
Judge then sent Jones racing home from 60 yards before being sin-binned having become increasingly frustrated by Queensbury's lying-on and letting his feelings known to the referee.
Nonetheless, man of the match prop Eddie Keeping knocked four would-be tacklers off to make it 28-0 at half-time, and Rhodes got his second try from Liam Gargan's fine inside pass soon after the restart.
Substitute Alan Pallister did a trademark one-on-one steal and raced home, before the outstanding Rhodes and Dooley completed their trebles and Jones got his second.
The tally was completed by three goals for James Sanderson and one for Jones, while the match was brought to a premature close due to injury to a Queensbury player.
