A BREWERY is considering bids for its Walkers Bar premises in Micklegate, York.
The well-known pub has been closed for months following a decision by Scottish and Newcastle to sell it.
Estate agent, Barry Crux of Castlegate, said Walkers Bar attracted huge interest when he put it on the market for a minimum of £350,000.
At least 20 people looked around the early 19th century building, including three upper floors which can be converted into self-contained flats with individual access.
Apart from the 1,000sq ft of bar next to Ziggys nightclub, there is also a massive cellar extending below neighbouring property which it is believed was once a brewery distribution depot.
Mr Crux said: "The premises could reopen as a bar given that it still has a licence, but it could also be a restaurant or even a shop."
