I AM angry on writing this, as any Yorkshire person would be.
In reply to the article on the front page "Ascot hits back" (May 4), who do the likes of Edward Fox's daughters think they are?
There is life north of Watford Gap, they should travel more. In Yorkshire we have our own national day, August 1, and as much history as the south, if not more. We all don't race pigeons, wear flat caps and go to the dogs.
If you don't want to come to Ascot in the north, don't. You won't be missed.
Mrs P E Foulds,
Thirlmere Drive,
York.
