YORKSHIRE poet Pat Borthwick will be at York's Wormholes bookshop in Bootham on Thursday to read from her latest collection of poems, entitled Swim.
Pat lives near Hovingham and teaches a creative writing evening class at Huntington School and is a former Writer in Residence for City of York libraries and for the Clipstone Colliery in Nottinghamshire.
She has been described as a conjurer with real stars up her sleeve" by critic Roger Garfitt. "All seven ages of woman seem to be present in this book, layer upon layer of awakening," Mr Garfitt says of her new collection.
A few tickets for the 8pm event, which includes wine and cheese, are available from Wormholes priced £5 on 01904 620011.
