A BUSY day of racing tomorrow is highlighted by valuable cards at Haydock, Lingfield and Newmarket plus an afternoon meeting at Beverley.

There is plenty, then, for punters to get their teeth into, including the £70,000 Stanleybet Handicap Hurdle. This is one of two jumps races on Haydock's mixed card, which has attracted a talented 12-strong field.

Royal Shakespeare should not be overlooked here, following a luckless defeat on his latest start at Sandown.

Having looked to be cruising in the lead he crashed out at the second-last, allowing Rooster Booster to gallop home to victory.

If none the worse for that tumble, Steve Gollings' high-class charge is fancied gain his revenge over Rooster Booster in a race where prolific winner Genghis will also be a big danger.

The stanleybet.com Spring Trophy is a cracker of a race over seven furlongs and most appealing is Polar Bear, trained by William Haggas.

A York winner last August, this admirable gelding made a promising start to the season when finishing third in a hot race at Leicester a fortnight ago. He should now be coming to hand.

Mr Ed (1.20), the mount of Tony McCoy is napped to take the spoils in the Stanleybet Long Distance Hurdle following his excellent effort behind Monet's Garden at Aintree last month.

Beverley's feature event, the £20,000 Coachman Caravans Conditions Stakes over five furlongs, offers Majestic Missile a fine chance to begin the campaign on a winning note.

A high-class juvenile two seasons ago, this speedy colt was never quite right last term and ran only a handful of times. Hopes are high, though, that he can bounce back this year. Paul Hanagan has been booked for the William Haggas-trained colt.

Princess Kiotto, a progressive stayer from the Tim Easterby yard, is already a course winner and is selected to land the CGI Stayers' Handicap. John Wainwright's Baron Rhodes can fulfil the promise she showed at Redcar last week in the Leisure Furnishings Sprint Handicap.

The totesport Victoria Cup, transferred from Ascot, is the big betting attraction at Lingfield. In what looks a wide-open race, John Dunlop's Jedburgh is selected to come out on top after showing himself to be in such excellent heart when making a winning reappearance at Newmarket.

John Hammond's talented French raider Walk In The Park gets the nod in the Letheby & Christopher Derby Trial.
