MY family and I were devastated when we read that the Conservative Party was making a video featuring headlines of horrific crimes in York, including the murder of our son. The flyer is bad enough.
Our son was a victim of the Gillygate murders in December 2003.
We know our son was clubbed to death, we have to live with that for the rest of our lives and don't need to be reminded.
Our son is not a political pawn. He became an addict when the Conservatives were in power. They didn't do much then for the drugs problems, what difference is it going to make now?
Looking at ways to help the addicts and give victims more rights, that's the way to gain votes, not trying to achieve political gains out of a victim's family misery.

Chapelfields Road,
Acomb, York.
